[Skin Concern] Mild forehead acne for several months, what to do? | Kr Laser

I am going to take a trip to Ulta Beauty tomorrow to hopefully buy one singular product for my acne. I’m thinking of getting The Ordinary Granactive Retinoid or The Ordinary Niacinamide 10%. I was also looking at hyaluronic acid products….Here is the context of my situation:

1. I’m a 31 y/o male who has had clear skin for a long time. I noticed acne on my forehead about 6 months ago. I had been eating like crap, drinking all the time, and was generally out of shape (I’m skinny w/ high metabolism but definitely out of shape). However, I had started rollerblading again (sweating a lot), most of the time with a hat on.
2. About 3 months ago I decided I wanted to live better and take care of my skin. I chalked up the forehead acne to the fact that I had been sweating with a hat on and not showering/rinsing my face immediately after. I stopped wearing a hat and also rinsing my face immediately after sweating. Nothing happened.
3. A month after that, so 2 months ago, I started really taking care of myself. I eat really “clean,” workout (cardio and weights) all the time, and started a skincare routine.

Here is my routine:

AM:

Rinse face with water and put on Aveeno Protect + Hydrate SPF 30 for the day. This sunscreen has not made my forehead acne any worse to my knowledge.

After workout:

Rinse face with water or shower (no cleanser or anything).

PM:

Change pillowcase (every night)

Wash face w/ Vanicream Cleanser

Stridex red box like every 3rd day (tried it more consistently but didn’t seem to do much)

Vanicream Moisturizer

Eucerin Roughness Relief Moisturizer once or twice a week

******None of these products seem to make the acne worse, but none of them have helped. Would love any and all input on what to change with my routine and what product I should try out. Thank you!
