31 year old, pregnant female with normal-dry skin. I live in a dry climate, and especially with colder seasons coming my main goal is keeping my skin hydrated. I’ve taken quarantine as an opportunity to develop a pregnancy safe routine, and stick to it!

**AM**

* CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser (not pictured as I keep it in my shower) – I know some are not a fan of the consistency, but I love it. Feels like washing my face with lotion. Feels very gentle, hydrating, and non-stripping–probably wouldn’t trust it to remove SPF or makeup though, hence why I like to use it in the morning
* Paula’s Choice Enriched Calming Toner – probably the least necessary step of my routine, but I enjoy using it. It is supposed to be hydrating and it leaves my skin feeling really soft after I use it. I also feel like the it helps the products I use after it go on easily (but that might also just be in my head)
* Maelove The Glowmaker – This is…fine. Watery/thin consistency, absorbs quickly. I do feel like my skin looks a little brighter right after I use it, but haven’t really noticed any long term effects (and I am near the bottom of the bottle). Plan to try Timeless Vitamin C once this is empty
* e.l.f. Holy Hydration Face Cream – This is also…fine. Contains fragrance, but I enjoy the scent. A little on the thick/heavy side, but not too heavy for day use in my opinion. Don’t plan to repurchase
* eltaMD UV Elements – Since I’m pregnant I’m avoiding chemical sunscreens. I like this one, it doesn’t bother my eyes, the texture feels really nice, and it’s light but still feels a bit more creamy/moisturizing compared to other mineral sunscreens I’ve tried. Goes on nicely after my moisturizer. I’m not a fan of the tint though, while it does prevent any whitecast, I tend to somehow smear it on everything throughout the day, I’m constantly seeing tan streaks on my clothes, etc. Plan to try eltaMD UV Pure when I’m done with this. I also don’t love the container, the pump doesn’t always work very well.
* Not pictured, but I want to give an honorable mention to [Neutrogena’s Sensitive Skin Face Liquid Sunscreen](https://www.neutrogena.com/products/sun/neutrogena-sensitive-skin-face-liquid-sunscreen-broad-spectrum-spf-50/6886041.html?cgid=sun-mineral#start=3) I think it used to have a different name like Pure Screen or Pure and Free screen. I’m honestly surprised that I don’t see this mentioned like ever on this sub. I really like it. I was using this prior to the eltaMD sunscreen and I think it’s a great, basic, affordable sunscreen. Super light liquid that layered well over moisturizer and had a slight matte finish, also didn’t bother my eyes. Had a tiny bit of whitecast that went away after rubbing it in for an extra minute. If I don’t like the eltaMD UV Pure, I plan to go back to this one. Also I recently received a sample of LRP Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid and I found it remarkably similar to the Neutrogena sunscreen.

**PM**

* KOSE Softymo Deep Cleansing Oil – I don’t usually wear makeup, but I like to use this to make sure I’m removing all my SPF. I think it works well and leaves my skin feeling soft and not stripped, but also not oily, rinses off clean.
* Vanicream Gentle Facial Cleanser – What can I say that hasn’t already been said about this one? Gentle, effective, cleanser, lives up to the hype in my opinion. I probably don’t need it after the cleansing oil but I like the idea of a double cleanse. Feels more effective as a cleanser than the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser
* Paula’s Choice Enriched Calming Toner – description above
* Stratia Liquid Gold – this is the newest addition to my routine. It’s light yet still feels rich at the same time (maybe because of the oils it contains?). I use it more like a serum and then add a moisturizer over it. Leaves my skin feeling really soft/hydrated
* CeraVe PM – HG for me. Light but effective, my skin really likes it. I like that it isn’t as heavy/greasy as the CeraVe in the tub, however I do sometimes use the CeraVe in the tub in place of this when my skin starts feeling extra dry.
* Paula’s Choice Lip & Body Treatment Balm – My lips seem to always be chapped (and yes I drink a lot of water, 3L per day). Slathering on something overnight does seem to help a little bit. I find this balm to be very average, nothing special for me, and not worth the price in my opinion. I do not plan to repurchase and will likely go back to using Aquaphor instead which I found to work just as well.

Other items:

* Pixi Peel & Polish – I use this once a week to exfoliate
* Jojoba Oil – I like to add a few drops of this to my moisturizer when I want extra hydration
* Mustela Stretch Marks Cream – preventative measure for the belly 🙂
* AmLactin – just purchased in hopes of helping with KP on my arms
