[Routine Help] Niacinamide serums WITHOUT phenoxyethanol! | Kr Laser
published on Jan 21, 2020
Hey guys! I’ve recently made an exciting(ish) discovery. For months now I’ve believed my skin is sensitive to niacinamide after TO’s niacinamide serum made my skin buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrn baby burn. However, since then, I’ve been trying out new products and found myself super confused because products with ingredient lists that should’ve been totally fine, even for my sensitive-ass skin, made my skin irritated, itchy, and warm.
*However,* as I’ve discovered more of these products, I’ve noticed exactly one thing in common; phenoxyethanol. Phenoxyethanol does have the potential to be a sensitizing ingredient, but it’s used in such low percentages that it usually isn’t. But that is the ONLY thing that all the products had in common – possibly because it’s very common, but coincidentally, none of the products that I currently use that don’t irritate my skin contain phenoxyethanol.
So, I’m conducting a test – I’m trying to find a niacinamide serum completely free of phenoxyethanol to see if I’m really sensitive! I’ll be over the moon if I can use niacinamide for my red, sensitive skin. Please drop any niacinamide serum you can think of in the comments and I’ll comb the ingredients list!
Thank you guys so much!
