[acne] Does anybody get acne after eating dairy? I am wondering if that is what's been triggering my recent severe breakouts. | Kr Laser

My acne has always been pretty bad but pretty controllable. I occasionally get these really severe breakouts where the acne is larger, deeper, super inflamed and painful. It seems to happen overnight, large painful nodules on my cheeks and chin. These breakouts are different than my regular breakouts and the pimples are not what I normally get. They almost don’t seem like pimples, they’re like huge deep welts but with pus.
I had one of these breakouts occur this morning, and this is the worst one I’ve had in years. I look scary and deformed. The biggest bump I have is on my cheek bone area and It looks like I got botched cheek filler done. I was trying to think of what may have triggered it like maybe a hair product, or pillow case, or my face mask but there weren’t any changes at all. I’ve also been good at adhering to my skin care routine recently. I realized that I ate a ton of dairy recently. I normally avoid dairy due to G/I issues but I love cheese so do eat it sometimes. A couple of days ago I ate an extra cheese pizza, yogurt, and quesadillas over two days which is a lot more dairy than I usually have! I’m wondering if that is what triggered this break out. I did suspect that my acne could be diet related for a while, because when I fast, my skin clears up a lot.
For those of you who believe that dairy triggers breakouts, how many days after eating it does your skin get bad? How did your skin change after cutting our or limiting dairy intake?
