A couple of questions about sunscreen [Misc] | Kr Laser

After reading a lot about skin care and watching a lot of videos I concluded that skincare is 20% of skin appearance in health, 80% will be sleep, alcohol, smoking, sun exposure and exercise.
Now skincare industires push new products with unrealistic claims which are commonly debunked by skincare experts.
Everyone advises daily usage of sunscreem , but I am curious if that might be industry trick and sunscreen might not be important. If that is not the case is there any data (from studies) which indicates the importance of daily usage of sunscreen.
The sunscreen is very expensive and should be used daily so it seems that is amazing business model.
Next, I’ve read wiki page about sunscreen and it says if you apply 2 layers with SPF 30 that layers combined are not more than 30 SPF and they actually might be lower. If that is the case why repplying sunscreen is so emphasized then. (I know if you apply correct amount it doesn’t have to be every 2 hours. 2 hours are advised under assuption that people don’t use the correct amoutn and stay only in sun.) Does the sunscreen fade until that point, is it consumed by the skin or does it runn off?
I am really curious what are your thougths on this topic.
